Several thoughts:
how foolish people are in their daily lives.
In the last two weeks, two people have died in
the Chattanooga area. One on a bicycle and another
on a motor scooter and both had much experience
sharing the road with cars.
Today, running errands, a five ton truck came
barreling toward my car and other cars with
seemingly no compunction about the life
nor the well-being of other people. He was
the driver the beast of the road. Was she
talking on the phone, wondering whether
her high school teen had made it home
or having just visited her aunt in the nursing
home?
Why do we act this way in cars?
Secondly:
three women observed today
the first, a new widow, willing to open up
and review her life choices incorporating
pain as part of her day.
secondly, a mother, hustling and bustling
carrying the suffering of her daughter's
cancer always within for many years.
thirdly, a spouse and former chick, who
appears to be sick, ill or something else
and is only a piece of the woman she was.
Thoughts fly immediately to breast cancer
as a possibility. Perhaps, a hurried hysterectomy
following a new marriage or even a miscarriage.
Clearly, she was debilitated physically.
Walking each step gives pause. Do we take these
ideas lightly and for granted?
If we are heavy hearted for our fellow woman and
man; is this attitude helpful? Will we ever know?
I'm going to get her back.
