Spring Scarves

Cowl with my changes in pattern.  The top around
the face is all single crochet.  The other part (bottom - snood)
part alternates single crochet, double and half single crochet giving
it the draping effect.  I love this scarf.  It is very deep pink -
I am not sure what the color name is - I think my skin tones
are too similar.  I bet it will look great on a certain brunette I know.
Since it is so light, I am wondering about doing one for a child.
How safe would it be?  It is certainly not restraining in any way.  However, children can get in very strange positions with clothing.  Per haps, a large button instead.
